This project Villa Maassluis is a stylish residence with outbuilding, designed by Converse Architects and realised by Hoedbouw. In this project, Burned Wood Douglas has been applied, contributing to a warm, natural appearance of the facades. The charred Douglas wood sections, with their deep black tone, create a powerful, contemporary contrast while offering the sustainable benefits of the Shou Sugi Ban technique: a low-maintenance, robust facade cladding that is resistant to weather influences and ageing. The combination of the authentic appearance of charred wood and the sleek design of the villa makes it a distinctive and timeless structure.
