PROJECT
Circulaire brandweerkazerne Harlingen
DESCRIPTION
In addition to Surhuisterveen there's now also a circular fire station with a Burned Wood facade in Harlingen.
Safety Region Fryslân's assignment for JOUS Architects was a circular design for new fire stations. The result is a demountable building using mostly cradle-to-cradle materials or 'green' materials, which Burned Wood is one of. This is the 2nd in a series of circular fire stations to be built. In this project, the facade is made from brushed Burned Wood Douglas. Burned Wood Accoya has been used for the window frames and door frames of the entrance. The project is still under construction.
